Doug Clark
Douglas Clark has served as Executive Director & President since the inception. With the initial conception of Garage Knights in September 1989 Douglas provided facilities, tools and guidance to students from the Ohio State University for the repair and maintenance of their vehicles. In the Autumn of 2001, working with Karl Gamertsfelder, Douglas continued to expand the umbrella of the Garage Knights. The concept grew to include other individuals in need with the assistance of adults in their community and in October of 2008 started recruiting the help of high school aged students while instilling civic responsibility, leadership skills and mentoring Garage Knights has become what it is today. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from The Ohio State University, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media from the University Of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and an Associate in Business from the University of Cincinnati.
Jeffry Schuster
Jeffry Schuster has served as Director since April 2009. He has been a valuable liaison for the organization. As a youth group leader at the Covenant Baptist Church from 1994-2004 and Physics teacher at the Upper Arlington High School since 1998 he has served as an obvious intermediary between students and Garage Knights. Jeffry holds a Master of Arts in Science Education and Bachelor of Science in Physics Education both from The Ohio State University.
Michael Bailey
Michael Bailey has served as Director and Treasurer since April 2009. Michael holds a PHD in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Masters in Biology from Mankato State University in Minnesota, and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Winona State University in Minnesota. Through his work at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and Medicine since 2002, Michael has gained extensive grant writing experience.
Jen Dunsizer
Todd Dunsizer
Todd Dunsizer holds a MS in Chemistry from The Ohio State University. He also has a BS in Chemistry with a Minor in Applied Economics and a Certificate in Management from the University of Rochester. While employed at Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane, he has completed their management development program in conjunction with Ohio State’s Fischer College of Business. He also is a certified project manager through Xavier University. Todd currently works as a Chemist / Compliance Specialist in pharmaceutical manufacturing where he manages the scientific instrumentation for the 6 Quality Laboratories – installation and qualification of new instrumentation, calibration, and repair of current instrumentation as well as investigation into new technologies. He has also developed the training program for new chemists at Boehringer Ingelheim as well as having prior teaching experience.
Guy McWherter
Guy McWherter earned a Masters in Business Administration from Capital University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University. Guy has an IT background and has been with Verizon the past 14 years. He is experienced in successfully managing large teams and projects.
Stephen Brubaker
Stephen Brubaker is a Bexley High Grad, Ohio Wesleyan University BA in English; 1 year at Capital Law School. I have been an Independent Insurance agent representing multiple casualty property, life and health carriers. I hold the American College designations (CLU) Chartered Life Underwriter and (RHU) Registered Health Underwriter and am currently President of the Ohio Association of Health Underwriters.
Brodie Taphorn
Brodie Taphorn grew up in Lexington, OH and did his undergraduate studies at Asbury College in Bible & Theology. After college he served as a youth minister in Greenfield, OH and then on to college ministry at The Ohio State University. He currently is a Community Leader and Pastoral Associate at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. He has been on staff with UALC since 2005 and enjoys working with my colleagues and serving my community at Lytham Road.
Bradley Reith
Bradley Reith was born and raised on the east side of Cincinnati OH. After graduating from High School he went to Cincinnati Christian University for his BS in Christian Ministry with an emphasis on Youth Ministry. After serving in Youth Ministry and Young Adult ministry a combined 15 years in both Cincinnati and Phoenix AZ. Bradley sensed God's call to begin church planting now in Northwest Columbus with Life Community Church of Hilliard.
Nathan Lord
Nathan Lord Upper Arlington High School Senior (‘10), Nathan is a team leader that takes on most of the electrical and electronics issues that we have in the shop. Nathan has won numerous awards in High School Science Fairs and is currently working on a GPS guided scaled plane. He is a team leader that teaches as well as mentors incoming youth. He has been with Garage Knights since October of 2009 and continues to promote and recruit for the program.
